Veteran Player Returns for 2025 Season

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the return of DB-Moe Heidelberg (Strong Vincent, HS) for the 2025 season. Moe begins his third season with the Express and returns as one of our starters on special teams. Moe will look to compete for a spot in the starting rotation at defensive back as well.

Moe did an amazing job for us last season and played a major role in our 2024 TPFL Championship game appearance. We finished the season 11-2 and received an invite to the I-75 Pro Advancement Bowl (3-6 loss against the Sheboygan County Sabercats).

We also accepted the invite on January 18th to compete for a National Championship against the defending National Champion; Indy Bison in the USA Bowl in Daytona, FL. (0-41 Loss) Moe played a major role in those team accolades as well!

Moe proved himself to be a guy we could count on to be at practice and games and perform at a high level. His team first attitude plays a huge role in his ability to improve on a weekly basis.

Moe is a graduate of Strong Vincent, HS in Erie, PA. While there he was a three year starter at linebacker for the Colonials on the football team and also swam. Since graduation he has been active playing flag football. Moe has played for three championships winning one.
