LB-Jimmy Grove back in action for 2023

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the return of LB-Jimmy Grove (Edinboro University) for the 2023 season. This is Jimmy's fourth season with the Express and he returns as one of our linebackers in the starting rotation.

This past season season we were crowned USA Bowl Summer Division National Champions, won our Division in the GDFL for the fourth year in a row and qualified for the GDFL National Playoffs for the seventh year in a row. In January of 2023 we headed to Daytona Beach, FL to face the Minneapolis Warriors in the USA Bowl Summer Division National Championship Game. (17-20 loss) The above mentioned team accolades, Javon had a direct hand in making possible.

Jimmy played a major role in leading us last year to a perfect season and the 2021 GDFL National Championship. We kicked off the 2022 season with a victory in the USA Bowl Summer Division National Championship game as well.

Jimmy is a graduate of Bradford Area, HS and played his college ball at Edinboro University. While there Jimmy was a four year starter and letter winner for the Scots earning ALL-PSAC honors and serving as team co captain.

Jimmy has played professional indoor football and was in camp with the Buffalo Bills. "Jimmy has done a great job for us every season.
