The Erie Express are pleased to announce the signing of ATH-Mark Johnson (Shippensburg University) for the 2021 season. Mark begins his first season with the Express and will compete for a spot in the DB/WR rotation as well as on special teams. 

Mark is a graduate of Milton Hershey, HS where he was a 2 sport stand out in football and track. Mark was a member of the 4x400 relay team that was a national gold medalist (NY). Johnson was a District Champion, Conference Champion, was an all state selection and his 4x400 relay team took the silver medal at states breaking the Milton Hershey school record which had stood for 27 years. In football Mark was a two time team captain and played a year at Shippensburg University. 

"Mark attended our open combine and impressed our coaches with his quickness and football IQ. It was evident he possessed playmaker abilities and an excellent concept of the game. His highlight film did not disappoint and he has looked good thus far in our pre season preparation. Mark keeps himself in premier shape and we are excited to see what he can do in an Express uniform."-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.
