3x All State ATH Joey Scarabino joins Express for 2023

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the signing of QB/ATH-Joey Scarabino (Notre Dame College) for the 2023 season. Joey begins his first season with the Express and will compete for a starting spot on offense.

Joey is a graduate of Cathedral Prep High School where he helped lead the Ramblers to the 2018 PIAA 4A State Title. For his efforts that season Joey was named All-State for the third time in his HS career as a TE. 

Prior to joining the Ramblers, Scarabino made a name for himself as one of the premier athletes in D10 history as a quarterback for the Seneca Bobcats. While at Seneca, Joey set just about every school record and finished his three seasons with 7,107 total yards of offense and 87 TD's. (4,871 passing with 42 TD's and 2,236 yds rushing with 45 TD's.) Joey was named All-Region and twice named to the PIAA All-State team as a Bobcat.

Upon graduation Joey played at the collegiate level for Notre Dame College before returning home.

He is one of the top athletes in Erie County in recent history and to have him in an Express uniform is exciting for the city and the team. He can play multiple positions but has been working mostly at QB during camp and has looked very good. He was an All-State TE for Prep so we know he can catch the ball and did a great job for them as a DE also. He has a great team first attitude, accepts coaching and you can tell he is a leader.
