Express sign 5x All-Pro OL-Todd Russell

The Erie Express are happy to announce the return of 5x All Pro OL-Todd Russell (Clarion University) for the 2025 season. Todd begins his tenth season with the Express and is a returning starter on the offensive line.

Todd did an amazing job for us at both guard and center last season and played a major role in our TPFL Championship game appearance. We finished the season 11-2 and received an invite to the I-75 Pro Advancement bowl. We also accepted the invite in January to compete for a National Championship in the USA Bowl in Daytona Beach, FL. Todd played a major role in those team accolades.

During the 2022 season we were crowned USA Bowl Summer Division National Champions, won our Division for the fourth year in a row and qualified for the GDFL National Playoffs for the seventh year in a row. In January of 2023 we headed to Daytona Beach, FL to face the Minneapolis Warriors in the USA Bowl Summer Division National Championship Game. (17-20 loss) The above mentioned team accolades, Todd had a direct hand in making possible.

Todd is a graduate of Erie Central Tech High School. There Russell was a standout on the football field twice being named team captain. A three year starter and letter winner, Todd was selected to play in the Save an Eye All Star game based on his All Region performance. Todd was also a member of the track team as well where he was a district qualifier in the shot put. Todd played his college ball at Clarion University.
