Erie Express to compete in USA BOWL XV National Championship Bowl Game in Daytona Beach, FL

On January 15th 2022 your Erie Express will compete in the USA BOWL XV Summer Division National Championship Bowl Game in Daytona Beach, FL. These National Bowl games are designed to place top teams from across the country against one another in a game they normally would not be able to play. There will be a "National Champion" crowned for the Summer, Spring and Fall seasons.

Our opponent is the Irdell Warriors out of Irdell, NC. They are ranked #4 by the USA Bowl committee. The Warriors come into the game 12-1 during the 2021 season and are champions of the CEFA. The Warriors have played in 3 National Bowl Games winning 2 of them. (2020, 2021)

The Express come into the game a perfect 11-0 on the 2021 season and are tied for the #2 ranking by the committee. Erie won the GDFL National Championship this season defeating the Inglewood Blackhawks 42-40 in the GDFL National Championship Game. This will be Erie's first appearance in a National Bowl Game.

We hope to kick off the 2022 season the same way we ended the 2021 season, as champions. The task will not be an easy one as the Warriors are a veteran team who have played in these games multiple times. We welcome and look forward to the challenge they will present. GO EXPRESS!
