ERIE EXPRESS DB-JONATHAN WILLIAMS SIGNS WITH SOUTH CAROLINA RAVENS

The Erie Express are pleased to announce that DB-Jonathan Williams (Gannon University) has signed with the South Carolina Ravens of the PAIA (Professional Arena Independent Association) for the 2025 indoor season.

Jonathan had an amazing rookie season for us in 2024. Despite missing several games due to an injury, he racked up 21 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, a pair of sacks, 1 interception and 3 pass breakups.

Along the way he never once missed a practice or game regardless of injury he was there to support his teammates. Jonathan's efforts and performance played a major roll in our 11-2 season and TPFL Runner Up finish. We have been invited to play in the I-75 Bowl Series Game on Oct, 26th and are awaiting word from several other bowl opportunities. These two were possible in part due to Jonathan's efforts and performance.

Jon attended multiple private workouts and was awarded several contracts but chose the Ravens to be closer to his home.

"We are beyond happy for Jonathan. He attended our open combine and was signed that night. He never missed a single practice and was a leader on and off the field for us all season. We are happy to have been able to allow him to showcase his skills while playing for us but it is his hard work and determination that has given him this opportunity. Jonathan's contract with the South Carolina Ravens is the 88th professional contract signed by an Express player.
