DEFNESIVE LINEMAN KALICKY RETURN FOR 2025

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the return of OL/DL-Darryn Kallicky (Girard, HS) for the 2025 season. Darryn begins his second season with the Express and will look to earn a spot on the offensive or defensive line rotations, as well as special teams.

Darryn did an amazing job for us last season and played a major role in our 2024 TPFL Championship game appearance. We finished the season 11-2 and received an invite to the I-75 Pro Advancement Bowl (3-6 loss against the Sheboygan County Sabercats).

We also accepted the invite on January 18th to compete for a National Championship against the defending National Champion; Indy Bison in the USA Bowl in Daytona, FL. (0-41 Loss) Darryn played a major role in those team accolades as well!

Darryn is a graduate of Girard High School where he was a standout on the football team for the Yellow Jackets. Kallicky was a three year letter winner, two year starter and First Team All-Region selection. He was invited to play in the 82nd Annual Save an Eye All-Star Game.

Darryn has attended our open workouts and impressed the coaches with his size and quickness.

"Darryn did a great job for us last year and made a contribution on the defensive line. He was our only defensive lineman to show up against the Sabercats in the I-75 Bowl and did a great job for us there as well as on the offensive line. When only 15 guys show up to start the game it makes it tough and guys have to play outside of their comfort zone, but he was there and did well and kept us in it until the end. We are expecting a big jump from him this year now that he has a year under his belt. We are blessed to have him back on board with us again in 2025"-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.
