DB-Moe Heidelberg earns 2023 roster spot

The Erie Express are pleased to announce the signing of DB-Moe Heidelberg (Strong Vincent, HS) for the 2023 season. Moe begins his first season with the Express and will look to compete for a spot in the starting rotation on defense as well as special teams.

Moe attended our open combine and open workouts and impressed the coaches with his overall athletic ability. He is a gifted athlete who is coachable and clearly wants to improve his craft daily.

Moe is a graduate of Strong Vincent, HS in Erie, PA. While there he was a three year starter at linebacker for the Colonials on the football team and also swam. Since graduation he has been active playing flag football. Moe has played for three championships winning one.

"We really like what we have seen so far out of him. He has a tremendous work ethic and you can tell he wants to be great. Almost every player that we either bring in or go after are very good athletes, but not all want to be great at what they do. You have to have that drive inside and Moe certainly has it. We are blessed to have him on board with us and are looking forward to seeing him in action in 2023"-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.
