The Erie Express are pleased to announce the return of 7x All-Pro DL-Kristopher Ford (Portland, HS) for the 2025 season. Kris begins his fifth season with the Express and returns as one of our starters on the defensive line.

Last season Kristopher was named named TPFL All-Pro for the 2024 season. That was Kristopher's seventh time earning All-Pro status. Kris also served us as a team captain for the 2024 season as well. Kris finished the season with 38 tackles, 22 tackles for loss (-110 yards), 15 sacks, 2 fumbles caused, 2 fumbles recovered and 3 pass breakups. In addition to being named All-Pro, Kris was also named Erie Express Defensive End of the Year.

Kristopher did an amazing job for us and played a major role in our TPFL Championship game appearance. We finished the season 11-2 and received an invite to the I-75 Pro Advancement Bowl.

We will also accept the invite in January to compete for a National Championship in the USA Bowl in Daytona, FL. Kristopher played a major role in those team accolades!

During the 2021 season Kris played a major role in our finishing the season undefeated and GDFL National Champions. Kris also helped us kick off the 2022 season with a victory in the USA Bowl Summer Division National Championship Game.

In 2021 Kris recorded 35 total tackles including a team high 16 sacks. Ford finished the regular season ranked 2nd in the GDFL with 12 sacks then recorded 4 more during the playoffs to end up leading the league. Kris added 19 tackles for loss for -113yds of offense, recorded 2 fumble recoveries and 1 caused fumble. For his efforts he earned GDFL All-Pro accolades as well as being named Express Defensive Newcomer of the Year.

Ford is a graduate of Portland High School (CT) and is originally from Brooklyn, NY. Kris now calls Warren, OH home and is no stranger to this level of football. Ford is an 8yr veteran having played for the Mahoning Valley Tigers, Giants and Scourge.

Prior to joining the Express, Kris helped lead the Ohio Silverbacks to the PAFL T2 Championship and an eventual appearance in a National Bowl Game. This was done the day following arm surgery.

"Kris has done an amazing job for us on and of the field. He brings  a high level of both performance as well as leadership every week. We can always count on him to make the big play when we need one and he does it with the highest level of professionalism. He has been around a long time, seen the good and bad and can weather any storm that presents itself. We are blessed to have him back on board and are expecting another great season from him in 2025"-Director of Operations Paul Pennington.
